Pause for Paws

Pause for Paws is a trusted grooming salon in Chincoteague, Virginia, where pets are cared for with patience, skill, and compassion. Owned and operated by Fran G. Rivera, a Certified Pet Groomer, the business is built on the belief that every dog deserves gentle handling and a grooming experience that leaves them looking and feeling their best.

Gentle Grooming with a Personal Touch

Fran takes time with each pet, easing nervous dogs with kindness and explaining the grooming process so owners feel comfortable and confident. From simple nail trims to full grooming sessions, every service is done with careful attention to detail and respect for each pet's unique needs.

A Calm, Stress-Free Experience

The salon provides a welcoming environment where both energetic puppies and senior dogs feel at ease. Pets leave looking refreshed and owners often remark on how calm and happy their dogs seem afterward—a reflection of Fran's caring approach.
